This last weekend my boyfriend and I attended Unique LA arts fair. Both of us had never been to this event before so we didn’t know what to expect. We picked presale tickets for $8 and it came with two complimentary tickets to the OC fair! Sweet deal.
A perfect way to describe the event in a nutshell is ESTY in person. Most of the items were hand crafted and specially made. It was fun seeing all the creative ideas people come up with. Some of the more interesting vendors were artists who converted old items normally thrown away, made into new items. Among these vendors was a booth that sold vintage hard cover books into blank notebook/sketchbooks. Another booth sold old glass beverage bottles melted and molded into other items like cups and other glasswares.
The only part of the experience that was disappointing was the pricing on some of the products. There were quite a few items that were steep in price. Of course it is understandable because the items are handmade and not mass produced. Despite this we picked up quite a few goodies. Over all I really enjoyed Unique LA! This event has not been around for very long so I hope that it gets bigger and better every season. :)
Instead of hauling my camera around for the day I had my iphone handy to take a few snapshots of the day.
