Hello 2012! Starting the year off with quite a personal post. I spent a few days for NYE in a cabin located in Sequoia. Here are a few snapshots from my holiday with my family and boyfriend. Spent a lot of time relaxing and soaking in all the gorgeous view of Sequoia. I feel so blessed and fortunate to end the new year with those who are closest to my heart. 2011 was a life changing year, with painful and joyous memories. To top the year off with loved ones is the best way I can think to spend NYE.

By now it seems like tumbleweeds are rolling by on my blog. I’ve been away for a bit but finally have something new to share. Something different from my usual style. I created this custom graphic in illustrator for one of my classes this quarter. It feels nice to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. Hoping to take more chances in the future when it comes to designing!

Pumpkin patch

Every year Cal Poly Pomona throws a pumpkin festival. My boyfriend took me here for the first time! The only experience I’ve had picking out a pumpkin was at a random parking lot patch. Seeing this huge field of pumpkins is quite a sight, there was thousands and thousands of pumpkins. We came on the second day towards the end of the day so a lot of the pumpkins were already taken, but still quite a lot was in the field. Along with the patch there was a corn maze and multiple carnival foods like funnel cake and other goodies. Had a great time, I hope to make this an annual tradition of coming!

This leopard scarf belonged to my late mother. I believe most of my style and girly girl taste comes from my mom. She was truly a woman with style. We both shared a love for collecting handbags and shoes. My dad often complained that our shoe collection was taking over the garage space (we have the same size btw). I have many fond memories of us shopping together. Her recent passing has been very difficult. And it sounds cliche but when I wear this scarf I feel like she is close to me. Although its just a material possession, it reminds me of her style, class, and our shared passion.

I absolutely love neutral and cream colors! Most of my wardrobe consists of these type of colors. I love the soft femininity of this color palette.

This is a branding project I did in school of Milk & Honey tea house. This campaign is targeted towards young health conscious adults. The brand is non fussy, fun, and whimsical.

Color makes me happy. Finding just the right color combination tickles me. I feel inspired to start putting together some of the color palette’s that inspire me. So here is the first of my color series: turquoise and red. This color palette is vibrant and happy, one of my favorite combinations.

Matchbox Kitchen

Currently my boyfriend Van and I are working with our lovely friend Sara of Matchbox kitchen on a special project. If you have not visited her blog please take a moment to check it out!
